Pretty as a Picture
Gowns from our Spring 2017 collections are officially arriving in stores! Are you wondering what you can expect from our Designers this season?
Watters Brides is a modern take on the classic bridal portrait. Every bride’s portrait is a unique unveiling of her personality, and our Creative Director, Xay Vongphachanh, took inspiration from paintings and photographs when she was creating the Spring 2017 gowns for Watters. You see the translation from canvas to gown in the subtle sparkle of beading on Duchess, the delicate, confectionary fit of Copeland’s beaded Espalier Lace, and the exquisitely crafted, layered lace train of Dame.
Elias Gutierrez, our Senior Designer for Wtoo Brides, drew on the romance of the Romanovs for his collection. Inspired by the charming and fantastic gifts Tsars Alexander III and Nicholas II gave to their wives and mothers, he brought to life gowns that call to mind the Imperial Faberge Eggs. The Polina gown delights with a frosting of hand placed lace motifs on an illusion back, while Albina’s silky taffeta might have swept out of the Imperial Court’s ballroom, and there is no denying the artful masterpiece of Anastasia’s Cybele Lace and Deryn Trim.
Willowby’s inspiration, according to Designer Molly Workman, marries uncut crystal gems with the warm, sparkling colors of geodes. Oceana glitters with head-to-toe beading in stunning geometric patterns on English netting. Esperance is a gentle nod to structure with her feminine Anemone Embroidered Lace over a soft net skirt. Locket shines like a treasure with chandelier beading in pearls and milky-white crystals.
