It all began with helping friends and family. Way back in 1986, bridal dresses felt kinda cookie cutter to Vatana Watters. Vatana saw a niche in the market and wanted to try her hand at upping the game. She started by designing bespoke bridesmaids dresses for herself, family, and friends. The oohs and ahhs were loud and clear. And with that, the Watters brand was born. She built a team who shared her high fashion sensibilities and her love of luxury fabrics, sculptural silhouettes, sensuous draping, and handcrafted details. Just as importantly, they were responsive to the latest trends and evolving tastes of brides. Today, with four bridal dress collections, Watters offers choices that fit the vibe. Dramatic. Dreamy. Sexy. Sculptural. Romantic. Modern. Classic. And to let brides express their style and creativity, Watters also offers beautifully made accessories. Matching veils, intricate sleeves, toppers, and capes – all icing on the cake. In these times where big companies turn out mass manufactured looks, Watters remains the exception. Literally growing up with the company our Style Director, Sydney Watters Rohleder, has an innate sense of the brand. She’s got the pulse of her generation’s style, not to mention being kind of a nut for fashion herself. (Apple never falls far from the tree, right.) Working elbow-to-elbow with the design team, she helps shape the creative direction for each collection and brand.
