Bridal Fashion Weeks across the world delivered a heady mix of romance, nostalgia, and modern artistry—and we were so here for it. From sculptural silhouettes to whimsical embroideries, this season’s runways proved that bridal is anything but predictable.
Here at Watters Designs, we’re always watching (and sketching), and here are the top trends to keep an eye out for from our brands' upcoming collections: Watters, Willowby, and Wtoo. While these gowns won’t be in stores just yet, you can catch a first glimpse, and even try them on at
trunk shows happening now. The full collections arrive later this summer.
Watters: Sculpted Romance & Textural Play
This season, the Watters bride is embracing contrast—and isn’t afraid of a little drama.
Florals bloomed in new, modern ways: dimensional, oversized, and organically placed to feel like gifts from nature.
“We call this season Love Language,” says Sydney Dunbar, Brand Director of Watters.
“And our florals evoke emotion, like they're part of the story.”
There was also a rich play of texture on the runways, from soft matte finishes paired with high-gloss fabrics to sheer and opaque elements layered in thoughtful tension.
“It’s about layering to create balance,” Sydney adds.
“That interplay adds power and softness to give the gown it's energy.”
And let’s talk structure. Corsetry is here to stay, bringing a confident edge to even the softest silhouettes. Meanwhile, voluminous shapes and airy fabric layers created gowns with movement, power, and undeniable presence.
Willowby: The Boho Muse Evolves
Bohemian is evolving—and Willowby is leading the way. If ethereal had a fashion-forward older sister, she’d be this season’s Willowby bride.
“There’s this new edge to our edgy muse,” Sydney says.
“She’s more romantic than ever and turning heads in the dreamiest silhouettes and fashion-forward details.”
Briar rose-inspired embroidery snaked along bodices and skirts like something out of a fairytale forest, while 3D florals added tactile romance that felt fresh and wild.
“We leaned into cosmic energy with starry night inspired beading and celestial influences,” Sydney explains.
“There’s a mystical quality to it all that will stop you in your tracks.”
Wtoo: Sweet Meets Statement
Wtoo delivers playful drama with a flirty twist—and honestly, we’re obsessed.
“It’s fun, bold, and always willing to take risks in a really elegant way” says Sydney.
It’s all in the finishing touches: bows popped up everywhere, tying together looks with a soft, feminine wink. There was also a major moment for fabric mixing, with unexpected combinations of lace, tulle, mikado, and mesh bringing layered personality to each gown.
“Color came back as a whisper this season,” Sydney notes.
“We’re seeing soft blushes, warm champagnes, and skin-kissed neutrals. It gives the bride something different without shouting.”
And let’s not forget the ornate lace and embroidery—rich with history, yet reimagined for today’s bride.
The Global Vibe: Vintage Reimagined
Across all three brands—and across every major runway—there was a collective nod to the past.
“We are seeing drop waists and Basque waistlines all over,” Sydney says.
“It’s that sense of vintage grandeur, but done with a modern hand.”
This is nostalgia reimagined: nothing costume-y, nothing too precious. Just timeless silhouettes made new again for the fashion-forward bride.
